A thinking partner that holds the structure for you.
Etak is a Claude Code plugin marketplace for product teams. Discovery is a conversation with the situation. Development is a conversation with the codebase. Etak keeps the through-line intact so you can stay in the work.
Runs in your terminal. Writes nothing you can't read, edit, or delete yourself. Every artifact is a markdown file in your repo.
Discovery is a creative process. Tools should support it.
Most product tools capture the output of thinking — decisions, PRDs, backlogs. Etak supports the thinking itself: messy, iterative, dialogical. Three principles run through every plugin.
-
Incremental formalism
Start in natural conversation. Crystallize into artifacts when the thinking is ready — not before. Structure as a byproduct of dialogue, never imposed up front.
-
Representational talkback
Externalize ideas into artifacts that talk back to you. The opportunity space is a thinking surface, not a deliverable. You see what you couldn't see in your head.
-
Dialogical collaboration
An LLM that holds context, sees patterns, and pushes back on weak thinking. Not a tool. Not an oracle. A collaborator that works at the speed of conversation.
Three plugins, one through-line.
Each plugin installs on its own. Together they keep the line from customer signal to shipped code intact, with traceability you didn't have to chase.
-
discovery
Explore the opportunity space, surface and test assumptions, prioritize, run experiments. Artifacts land in
docs/discovery/. -
develop
Scope validated ideas. Plan and sequence work. Write grounded specs and ADRs. Implement with TDD. Artifacts land in
docs/development/and link back to discovery. -
deliver
Review code, verify stories, ship safely, audit security, operate infrastructure, keep docs in sync. Pairs with develop at PR and release time.
-
design planned
UX and interaction design, in the same conversation as the rest.
Etak is in active development.
The marketplace is open on GitHub. Plugins are evolving fast — the discovery side is the most complete; develop and deliver are catching up. Watch the repo to follow along.
